Whats the point in spending a ******** on a mag when you can quickly modify a G3 mag at a total cost of 10 bucks?

Saiga aftermarket prices are sky freaking high compared to most other firearms.

FBMG’s website is now dead. Anyone know if they’ve closed up shop? I know the long-awaited Saiga .308 mags were as elusive as a unicorn.

Whats wrong with the original 8 round mag? I like it, it helps to murder 8 school children at a time. I like to threaten housewives with my gun and molest their children after I hold them down and ******** them with my 20 round mag!

the mount is on the left side for the scope rail. I bought a nice weaver metal rail made for my saga.223 for like 30 bucks. it fits perfect…

It’s an AK, deal with it. But, it’s a real Russian AK. The first WASR I handled at a show looked like someone had painted it in his garage (orange peel and runs). Every Saiga I’ve handled is really nice. Not as pretty as an HK, but you can’t bury one of those in a pile of camel crap in the middle of the desert for 20 years and expect it to work later. Besides, these don’t have fluted chambers to chew up your brass like those show pieces you mentioned.

I stored 20 rounds in my 25 round plastic mag and left it there for 2 months before firing it in my rifle for 2nd time.First time I fired it on the same day I loaded;second time it jammed on the fourth round; this happened twice before I noticed the bulge in the mag; Mag needs to be made of steel or stainless steel.

The rail is on the left side of the receiver, same as every single other AK variant. It was designed as a sporting rifle, so they did not manufacture a high capacity magazine for risk of losing the sporting purposes classification.

No rail or mount for scope noted on this gun. No aftermarket rails or scopes; where is the side scope mount? Why don’t the russians make steel 20 or 30 rd mags or even steel drums for this rifle? Just a fast sales gimmick rifle here.

The polymer mags work fine except you cannot store rounds in them for any length of time; no more than 48 hours or they will take a bulging set;plastic does that, that is why they use steel or stainless steel is best material, not cheap plastic.

although I have never held one in my hands this gun looks somewhat cheap. You get what you pay for. Best to buy a HK-91 or a fine FN-FAL.

Wolf or any other Russian ammunition will cycle fine in a Kalashnikov action rifle. I’ve used it and Bernaul with no problems in my .308 Saiga.

You don’t know what you are talking about.Izhmash and Baikal products have been available in the USA for years.I personally own 308,223,12ga and several 7.62×39 Izhmash Saiga long guns and several of their wide body and single stack Makarovs all “arrow stamped” with “made in russia” english markings.

I’ve only used 7.62×39 from Wolf. Out of at least a couple thousand rounds, I can only remember one problem: a primer that didn’t go off on the first hit.

A lot of the problems people have with Wolf ammo comes from using the steel-cased, lacquer-coated stuff in AR-15s. Those rifles don’t always handle that stuff well.
