I have just too many magazines, and everytime I try to clean or declutter them , I read them instead ! I scan them to see if there s anything useful I may cut and keep and this could take hours and the mess is still there !
WHat do you do with all the old magazines you dont read nut cant bring yourself to throw them away?

Donate them to a local girl scout troop. They can find MANY uses for old magazines!!

Just throw them away… do it like ripping off a bandaid. The faster the better - there is less pain that way.

I usually keep them because I always have projects for art class and school that require me to use pictures from magazines.
Or you can recycle them.

Depending on the condition of them, someone may be collecting certain magazines, and may be looking for an issue to add to their collection. Check on the internet for magazine collectors to see if you may have something that someone else may want. One mans junk is another mans treasure. However, if they are looking a little tired, then put them through a paper shredder and use the shredded paper for packing material when you have to ship something like Birthday presents or for transporting something fragile.

donate the magazines to local doctors and dentists offices, hospitals, anyplace where people wait, great places to donate. I recycle the junk mags, and I freecycle the knitting and crochet magazines.

If they’re garbage, they go into the recycling bin.
Otherwise, they get stuffed into the bookshelf until they’re in danger of exploding, in which case they go into the recycling bin.

Take them to your nearest nursing home. The residents will be very grateful for them. Another good idea is if there are any puzzles in them, do them in pencil so that you can erase them then the residents will have something else to pass the time.

BE RUTHLESS!!!
Its either give them to the local primary school for the junior classes to cut out and use in their art projects, or you RECYCLE them!!

either take them to be recycled, or donate them to a senior center or nursing home, or bundle them up and put them out by the curb with a FREE sign on them.

Since my apt. complex has a recycle bin along with regular garbage bins, (dumpsters), I usually put them in the recycle bin (after removing my name and address from them). Or, if you don’t want them to go to recycling, if there is a medical/dental clinic near you, you could donate them to their office(s). One thing, once I have finished reading the magazine, I get rid of it.
Take care.

I have taken mine to a waiting room of a lobby in a hospital.
If you’ve ever had to wait in an area like that you’ll know why that is a great thing to do! Magazines, geared towards men, are especially welcomed and needed.

I take mine straight to the doctor’s offices to share with others….

Do you have a cat or a garden? Cut them into strips. Roll them into balls and use them for cat litter. Wet the strips and use them in flower beds under mulch. The weeds can’t get thru them.

donate them to a nusing home or senior citizens home or some other such place.
